Hampton Parish Council currently has vacancies for Parish Councillors and is encouraging residents to consider getting involved in supporting the local community.
A parish councillor plays an important role in representing the interests of residents, helping to shape local decisions, and working to improve services and facilities across Hampton. It is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference where you live.
Why become a Parish Councillor?
As a councillor, you will:
- Represent the views of local residents
- Help maintain and improve community facilities and services
- Be involved in decisions affecting Hampton Vale, Hargate, and surrounding areas
- Work alongside fellow councillors to support local initiatives and projects
Who can apply?
To be eligible, you must be aged 18 or over and meet at least one of the following criteria:
- Be registered as a local government elector in the parish
- Live within the parish (or within 3 miles of it)
- Work within the parish area
- Own or rent property in the parish [harborough.gov.uk]
